Who are we?
We are a social group of women who come from many walks of life. The chapter exists to encourage fun and frivolity, individuality, personal growth, and sisterhood and to do it all with verve, humour and elan. What can be better than that?
The Red Hat Society describes itself as a "disorganisation" with no rules, by-laws, meetings or officers. Our sole purpose is to have fun.
The only "decree" we have is that those aged over 50 must wear purple attire and a red hat to all of our activities. Our members under 50 wear lavender with pink hats. They are our "ladies in waiting" who will qualify for the full-blown colours when they reach the magical age of 50.
We're about taking a little personal time out - putting aside, for even a short while, demands of our family and/or employment, dramas, concerns happening in our lives, deadlines and time constraints, to spend some time recharging our batteries by having a good laugh and enjoying fun and friendship with our red hat sisters.
Our activities are many and varied, to suit the whims and fancies of our members. Have a look at our Coming Events to see what we're up to. For further information or to join us to have fun, please email me.
In fun and friendship,
"Queen of Tarts"
Bev
