To dye an item purple...
Here is a tip to dye an item purple. You will need a package of purple dye, one half package of Royal Blue dye, one cup of salt, and a dash of laundry soap. Take the dyes and salt and mix it up in a glass bowl before adding it to the washer with laundry soap. Then follow the directions on the box. The Royal Blue tones down the purple so it's a nice shade. The salt sets the dye.
